This Guide
This guide has been designed to ensure that you receive the very most from your membership with us. This guide contains useful information and answers some of the most frequently asked questions. Opening Hours
We are open weekdays from 6am to 10.30pm (Gym closes at 10pm) and from 8am to 6.30pm at weekends. These times may vary over Christmas, New Year and Bank holidays - please check at reception or on our website
How do I check in?
On joining Club Kingswood you will be asked to download our app and create an account. This allows us to give you a membership barcode which you can check in with at reception on arrival. All guests must also check in at reception with you and provide photo ID.
Clothing
We advise comfortable gym appropriate sports clothing when exercising and suitable trainers to be worn at all times. No jeans, work clothes, boots, flip flops, sliders or crocs are allowed.
When playing Squash or Racketball shoes with non-marking soles are required.
In the Bar Area - smart casual clothing at all times, no pre-worn and sweaty exercise clothing allowed or vests.
How do I make a Class, Padel Court, or Squash Court booking?
Bookings can be made up to 7 days in advance. We recommend that you pre-book your Courts and Classes in advance to ensure your place. This can be done via the app, over the phone, via the members area on our website, or at reception.
Padel Court Bookings
Bookings can be made up 7 days in advance. Padel Tennis is a doubles game and m embers pay a £20 Court Fee for 4 members playing (£5 each) for a 90 minute court. The £20 must be paid at the time of booking by the member making the booking.
Squash & Racketball Courts
The Club has 6 Squash & Racketball courts, available from 6am to 10.00pm. Each Squash or Racketball session is 40 minutes in duration and may be reserved up to 7 days in advance. Rackets and balls may be borrowed from reception. Balls can also be purchased if required. During peak times (being 4.20pm to 9.00pm) courts are only bookable with 2 players and no roll-on courts are allowed to be booked in the peak times.
Where can I leave my things when I come to the Club?
We provide lockable lockers in both changing rooms. They take £1 coins to lock which you get back when the locker is opened. You cannot leave your belongings in the lockers overnight.
How can I find out what is happening socially?
All notice boards throughout the Club are updated on a regular basis. Social events are also published on our web site www.clubkingswood.co.uk and our Facebook page www.facebook.com/clubkingswood/
Gym
We are confident that with the different packages we offer, we will be able to help you achieve your goals. Free Instructor sessions when joining are designed to enable you to feel confident with the equipment you will be using and provide you with an individual program tailored towards your needs and goals, giving you real and lasting results.
Instructors and our Membership Services Team are on duty throughout the day should you have any questions or require any advice.
Personal Training sessions and nutritional consultants are also available upon request at an additional cost.
Sauna & Steam Rooms
The Sauna and Steam rooms are located in the male and female changing rooms. Both are created to provide the ideal opportunity to relax in a hot and humid atmosphere. Operating at approximately 45 degrees centigrade with 100% humidity, the steam room cleanses the skin, aids circulation and relieves stress. The saunas offer a dry heat, operating at approximately 90 degrees with only 15% humidity, again cleansing the skin, aiding circulation and easing tired muscles. These facilities are available for members 16 years of age and over. For the sake of hygiene swimwear must be worn whilst using the Steam & Sauna areas. Wearing underwear in the Sauna and Steam areas is not permitted
Swimming Pool
The swimming pool can be accessed through both the men's and ladies' changing rooms and is 33ft long (11 meters). The water temperature and water quality in the swimming pool is constantly monitored. You must shower before using the Pool! Please check our pool timetable before you swim to check whether family or adult only swim times are operating.
Mobile phones are strictly forbidden to be taken into the Swimming Pool Hall or Steam and Sauna Areas.
Photographs, videos and video calls are also strictly forbidden in these areas as well

Children and Juniors
Members and guests are reminded that whilst children and juniors are very welcome at the Club, there are certain time and facility restrictions. Children are classified as under 16 years and may only use leisure facilities applicable to their age group. They may only use the Club facilities between 9am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, and from 10am - 6.30pm at Weekends. They must be accompanied by an adult at all times, unless participating in a supervised activity.

Children under 8 are permitted to use the opposite sex changing rooms with a parent or guardian
Fitness areas - children under 16 are not permitted to enter the gym or studios unless they are part of a a Family Gold Membership available for 13 to 15-year old's.
These rules have been established to ensure that all families using these facilities can do so in a safe and enjoyable environment.
Bar & Function Area
The Members Bar and Function Area offers a comprehensive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, a varied wine list and an bar snacks.
In the interests of all members and their guests we would ask you to observe the following standards in the bar and terrace. All members are asked to register their guests at reception upon arrival. Sports clothing is permitted in the bar areas, however please refrain from wearing the clothes worn during your workout. Sports bags must be stored in the bag rack located opposite the bar entrance or in a locker until you are ready to leave. Smoking or Vaping is not permitted in any area of the club, including the bar terrace and outside areas. We would ask all members with children to be mindful of other members and their enjoyment.
Families with children are welcome in the Bar as long as they are well behaved and follow the rules below.
After 6.30pm children under 16 are not permitted in the bar.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and remain seated.
Please do not allow your children to run around.
The stairs to the Padel courts must be kept clear at all times.
Membership Rules
The following information has been produced to ensure that all members are assured of a comfortable and enjoyable experience on each and every visit.
Although detailed in their nature, it is anticipated that for the majority of the Members there will be little or no need to refer to them. They do, however, allow the Management of the Club to provide a service that we believe is second to none.

Objective
To run a club which we would be happy and proud to be a member of.
To treat all members equally irrespective of their age, sex, size, or level of fitness / ability.
Constitution
The Club is a proprietary Club, the proprietor and sole manager of which is the Kingswood Sports Centre Limited. The proprietor will provide all the Clubs facilities and everything necessary in accordance with these rules and regulations including the payment of all staff and other matters in connection therewith.
Subscription and Facility Fees
The Club shall have the right to change the scale of fees at any time by prior email notification.
Membership Agreement
Please note that the monthly membership subscriptions are made by Direct Debit or Annual Payment only.
To cancel any membership we require 30 days' notice by email.
Members may Freeze their membership by calendar month by giving at least 5 working days notice before their next direct debit date. There is a £5 freeze fee per month to put your membership on hold paid by direct debit.
Requests to cancel or freeze your membership must be submitted by email to alex@clubkingswood.co.uk .
Cancellation by telephone requests will not be accepted.
Any joining fee and any administration fee paid is a non-refundable, non-transferable, one off charge, payable upon joining. If a member leaves and then re-joins at a later date, a new joining fee may be payable at the rates prevailing at the time of re-joining.
All members agree to abide by the Club's rules and regulations.
Joint members are required to become individual members in the event of the "main" member terminating his/her membership. This involves paying the monthly subscription at the individual rate rather than the joint rate. If a a joint membership turns in to a single membership then any discount applied will automatically cease and revert to the single members rate.
Use of personal information is minimal, full details can be found in our terms and conditions.
Right of Members
The member by paying his/her correct subscription shall be entitled to all the benefits and privileges within the qualification of his/her membership and shall be bound by these rules and other club regulation being in force at the time.
Liability of Members
The liability of members shall be limited to the amount of subscription and any other fees, or in case where damage is caused to Club property he/she shall be responsible for that amount as the Club may so direct.
Members-Special Provisions
Any member knowingly allowing another to use their membership shall have their membership cancelled immediately, with any remaining payments due immediately.
Under no circumstances, shall intoxicating liquor be supplied to be consumed by any member under the age of 18 whilst on Club premises. Any member so doing or aiding or abetting shall be liable to having his/her membership cancelled.
The personal equipment of members is their own responsibility at all times.
Any equipment left in the Club will be placed in lost property for a period of seven days and then be disposed of at the sole discretion of the club.
Guests
Members may introduce guests to the club by completing a guest card at reception upon arrival. The guest fee is £15 per visit. Guests must produce ID such as a Driving License on their first visit and will have their photograph taken. No member shall introduce a guest who has been refused membership at the Club. Members are responsible for the behavior of their guests and shall not leave the Club before their guests.
Car Parking
Our car park is for members using the facilities at the time of parking only. Parking here whilst not using the club is not permitted. Please ensure all valuables are out of sight.
Security
All persons entering the Club premises do so at their own risk. The Proprietor accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage of property belonging to any member or his/her guest or for any personal injury.
Management
The Clubs affairs shall be managed by Alex Owen, the General Manager under the direction of the Chairman of Club Kingswood. The Manager may at his discretion appoint committees and playing Captains to assist in the various sporting and social affairs of the Club.
Alteration and Interpretation of Rules
These rules may be altered, deleted or added to at any time at the sole discretion of the Club. The Club, whose decision shall be final, shall determine any dispute or difference that may arise in the regard to the interpretation of these rules.
Closing of the Club
The Proprietor has the right to close the Club or certain facilities either on a temporary or permanent basis without prior notice and in such event, members will have no rights of claims against the club
Conduct
Members and theirs guest agree to abide by the club rules and are responsible for the conduct of their guests.
Membership will be cancelled if these rules are not adhered to.
Data Privacy
Processes using personal data:
Data is primarily collated to identify you and communicate with you as you use the facilities provided by the Club. It is also stored for various processes in order to provide the services requested by the customer, these processes include:
• Joining.
• Class and court booking.
• Bar services.
• Processing payments.
• Your digital Photograph to confirm your identity when checking in
If you cancel your Membership at Club Kingswood
No data will be processed and will only be stored for the purposes of retaining financial records and any other legal obligations.
Data is collated to identify you (including your photograph, so that only authorised people utilise your membership) and no data is provided to any third party without your express agreement.
Membership data is stored and processed in the EZ system and is stored on their secure server in the UK.
Club Kingswood App
Members have the option to utilise an "app" provided by Netpulse Services. Members utilise this service of their own free will and Club Kingswood accept no responsibility of data loss through an individual utilising their services. We have taken every effort to ensure that data standards are of a relevant standard to protect the data entered by members and utilised by Netpulse services.
CCTV
CCTV is used for the club and member security. This data automatically deletes after 30 days
